Designer’s Notes:

The total weight of the missiles carried in the F-35’s Pod servo (it’s internal weapons bay) adds to the F-35’s weight. It’s MA subsequently changes by the following formula:

Loaded F-35 MA (Round to nearest even number) = [608 / (21.5 + Missile Weight)] + 2

To get the missile weight, add the Kills per Missile of all the missiles in the Pod servo, and divide by 2. To find the MV penalty imposed by the missiles, add missile weight to the F-22’s weight, consult MZ’s stat table on page 65 of the core rulebook.

The Electronic Warfare subassembly on the F-35 exists to reflect some of the capabilities of it’s AN/APG-81 Active Electronically Scanned Array radar suite.

Final thoughts: The F-35 is very similar to my F-22 design, however, it uses Medium Striker servo parts instead of Heavy Striker parts. Also, it uses one Tail servo of the same size instead of two Tail servos one size smaller than the Wing servos. Like the F-22 I designed, the internal bay is more complicated to use in a game, than a design that utilizes hardpoints exclusively. My personal suggestion would be to drop the Pod servo and replace it with a Hardpoint on the Torso servo similar to the ones on the wings, or to treat the missile load in the same manner you would treat the missile load on the Hardpoints, and that is to add a B-Mod to the fighter based on the total Kills of the missiles divided by 20.
