Elezar

Elezar, a generious man who loved life when it was good and pushed forward when it was bad got to watch his home slowly die of the plague. Unable to let the rest and himself die he went far into the deep woods to make a pact with the shadow horror that lived there in hopes of saving the rest even if he is damned. The beast said he could at least save him and possibly his power could help those who were still alive. Elezar took this pact and the beast was allowed to travel as his shadow no matter how bright the light was, and Elezar was cured of the plague though he still looked as he was dieing from it. The travel back was just as long but Elezar did not tire and hoped if the beasts magic did this for him they could at least help those left. When he got back he found everyone dead as disturbing as this was there was one thing more disturbing to Elezar.

He felt nothing. No sorrow for the loss of life here, only rotting bodies that did not move. The price of his pact was his life. He was not alive anymore but not dead. He lived as much as anyone else but not in the ways they did, he had to eat to live, keep his body warmed and protected, but did not feel the pains or pleasures that came with it. He could no longer look at a field of flowers and feel the subtle happiness of just being alive, nor could he suffer through a cold rainstorm to find a warm fire and find it even more warm then it should be. He only knew what he saw, that he was cold, or that it was hot.

The "Loss of Life" has caused Eleazar to become paler and seeming unatural but more so has caused his action to be cold and mecanical which is unerving to people.
Any living creature must make a DC 16 will save to willfuly approach or interact with Eleazar.
