Halfling Traits

  • Adaptable Luck
    • Three times per day, gain a +2 luck bonus on an ability check, attack roll, saving throw, or skill check; can choose to do so afterward, for only +1 bonus. Using adaptive luck in this way is not an action. This racial trait replaces halfling luck. (Note Fate's Favored trait though)
  • Fey Magic
    • Select one terrain from the ranger's favored terrain list and then select three 0-level druid spells and one 1st-level druid spell. While Charisma of 11 or higher and in selected terrain, gain those spells as spell-like abilities that can be cast once per day. The caster level for these effects is equal to the user's character level. The DC for the spell-like abilities is equal to 10 + the spell's level + the user's Charisma modifier. These spells are treated as being from a fey source for the purposes of the druid's resist nature's lure class feature and similar abilities. This trait replaces keen senses.

    • Move at normal speed; base speed of 30 feet. This racial trait replaces slow speed and sure-footed.
  • Weapon Familiarity
    • Proficient with slings and treat any weapon with the word “halfling” in its name as a martial weapon.
  • Fearless
    • Receive +2 racial bonus on all saving throws against fear. This bonus stacks with the bonus granted by halfling luck.

    • Add +½ on Bluff checks to pass secret messages, +½ on Diplomacy checks to gather information, and +½ on Disguise checks to appear as an elven, half-elven, or human child.
  • Streetwise (3/+1)
    • A street performer gains a bonus equal to half his level on Bluff, Disguise, Knowledge (local), and Sleight of Hand checks, Diplomacy or Intimidate checks made to influence crowds, and Diplomacy checks to gather information (minimum +1). This replaces bardic knowledge.
  • Gladhanding
    • A street performer earns double the normal amount of money from Perform checks. As a standard action, he may use a Bluff check in place of a Diplomacy check to improve a creature’s attitude for 1 minute, after which its attitude becomes one step worse than originally. This ability replaces countersong.

    • +4 bonus on saving throws against: bardic performance, sonic, language-dependent effects
  • Bardic performance (11/day: 2*lvl +2 +cha; standard action to start)
    • Disappearing Act (Su)
      • A street performer can use performance to divert attention from an ally. All creatures within 30 feet that fail a Will save (DC 10 + 1/2 the bard’s level + the bard’s Cha modifier) treat one creature chosen by the bard as if it were invisible. This performance affects one additional creature at 5th level and every 6 levels thereafter. If the targets take any action that would cause them to become visible, they become visible to everyone. The bard cannot use this ability on himself. This ability is a mind-affecting effect that requires visual components. This performance replaces inspire courage.

      • Sanctuary (Will DC: 10 + 1/2 the bard’s level + the bard’s Cha bonus) when targeting Miro or lose the attack (no retargetting). If using a spell, Concentration at same DC or lose spell (if they pass, they can retarget the spell).
